Dear Readers,
We apologize for not being able to bring you the daily round-up of World & National News Links yesterday & today.
My family is currently dealing with the loss of our beloved cat "Binx". It is believed he was hit by a car about 6 weeks ago and he has been battling back from fractures and infection since that time. Yesterday, he just couldn't hold on any longer. He seemed to be in very little pain, and not too aware. He died peacefully early this morning.
Our daily news links will most likely resume on Monday.

Sources in Ramadi in the restive al-Anbar province report that large groups of armed foreign militants are fleeing towards the Syrian border, as US and Iraqi forces tighten their siege on the city. Ramadi, some 100 kilometres west of Baghdad, is a stronghold of the insurgency and there are reports of many residents also fleeing in fear of an assault.
