UNITED STATES NEWS:
TOP STORIES:
ABC’S 9/11 MINI-SERIES UPROAR:
[Note to my readers: I am a staunch advocate of both the First Amendment, and the responsibilities that come with those rights, particularly when it comes to the media. However, the actions of our Democrat leaders and politicians are despicable. They are demanding that ABC not show the movie, or edit it to their liking -- they are threatening to pull Disney/ABC's broadcast license. Insiders say that this is because former President Bill Clinton is portrayed in an unflattering light in the movie. I don't know if that is true or not. What is true is that if we as American citizens allow politicians to determine what can and can't be shown on TV then the United States as we know it will be one foot in the grave. We cannot allow any sort of attack on our first Amendment rights by politicians in Washington, or elsewhere. The consequences of allowing this sort of behavior are chilling, and lead down a slippery slope where political dissidents (ON BOTH "SIDES") would eventually be threatened. As American citizens we need to be strong and forceful with these politicians who would destroy our Constitutional Right to free speech. I do not want my children to grow up in a country where they are not free to disagree or present an alternate viewpoint of happenings around us. All citizens - especially those concerned about the official story of 9/11 should clearly see why these democrats actions are a real, and serious threat to the freedom of all in the country...
